How To: Bring Yoga Foster to My School

How To: Bring Yoga Foster to My School

Are you just as passionate about yoga in schools as we are? Great! It's so easy to bring Yoga Foster to your child's school! Here's a few ideas:

  • Recommend a teacher. If you want a quick and easy way to spark the idea, head to our referral page to recommend a teacher. Enter their email, and we'll send them all the information they need to know!
  • Fundraise to support the program. The program cost for educators is $125 (details here), which in an average-sized classroom, costs about $5 a student! You could organize a bake sale, set up a fundraising page, ask the PTA – the possibilities are endless, and we're confident your teachers will appreciate the support. Remember, Yoga Foster is a nonprofit that's supporting the rest of the costs (including sourcing free or cheap yoga mats, and covering the rest of program costs). So your support goes a long way to making this practice possible.
  • Download our Starter Kit. By signing up for more information on our programs page, you'll receive a downloadable starter kit that outlines more about the program, including the research, spiritual and cultural sensitivities, benefits for teachers and students, and more! Download it and share with your teacher, principal and other administrators.

Remember, our program is designed specifically for educators. That means we add onto their existing knowledge of transferring new concepts, creating a positive learning environment, keeping students safe, and everything else teachers are well-prepared to handle.  This means that we do not recommend that you, as a parent, enroll yourself to represent your classroom.

Yoga Foster is here as a resource for educators and parents. Want to learn more? Visit our help desk.
